1. About qatarsouq
qatarsouq.shop is a marketplace operated by a Delaware company that enables merchants in Qatar to list and sell products online, and enables independent delivery partners to offer delivery services. qatarsouq provides the platform — it does not sell products itself, does not hold stock, and does not employ delivery partners. Merchants selling through qatarsouq are the sellers of record for those sales.
2. Merchant Accounts
Merchants must provide accurate business information, including a valid Qatar Commercial Registration number, a Qatar Identity Card number, and a Tax Identification Number. You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings, product descriptions, pricing, and for complying with Qatari consumer-protection, food-safety, and labelling laws. qatarsouq may suspend stores that violate these terms or applicable law.
3. Delivery Is Arranged Independently
Delivery partners on qatarsouq are independent contractors. When a merchant posts an order requiring delivery, partners submit quotes; the merchant selects a quote, delivers the order themselves, or arranges customer pickup. The delivery contract is formed between the merchant and the chosen partner. qatarsouq is not a party to that contract and is not liable for loss, delay, or damage arising from delivery.
4. Orders, Pricing, and Payments
Merchants set their own prices and are responsible for order fulfilment and accuracy. qatarsouq does not receive, hold, transmit, process or settle customer payments — no customer funds pass through the platform. Cash on Delivery funds are collected by the merchant or their chosen delivery partner and belong to the merchant from the moment of collection. Where online payment is used, processing is handled by third-party providers under their own terms.
5. Fees
Platform fees, if applicable, are displayed in your merchant dashboard before you are charged. Fee changes are announced at least 30 days in advance.
6. Prohibited and Restricted Products
Listings must not include illegal goods, controlled substances, counterfeit items, weapons, or products prohibited under Qatari law. Alcohol is prohibited in Qatar for everyone. Violations result in immediate removal and account termination. The full list of prohibited items is in the Merchant Agreement.
7. Returns and Refunds
Each merchant sets their own return policy and must display it clearly in their store. Disputes between customers and merchants are resolved directly between those parties, with qatarsouq providing order records to assist.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, qatarsouq is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or disputes between users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections available to users in Qatar. The Merchant Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, and the consumer protections available under Qatari law apply to any purchase made on the platform.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update these terms with notice. Questions: legal@qatarsouq.shop. See also the Merchant Agreement and the Platform Disclaimer.
Note: qatarsouq facilitates connections between merchants and independent delivery partners. We do not provide delivery services ourselves.
