Platform Disclaimer
Last updated: 25 October 2026
qatarsouq is a platform, not a shop. This page sets out plainly what that means for you as a customer, so there are no surprises when you buy from one of our stores.
What qatarsouq is
qatarsouq.shop is a marketplace. It is a place where independent merchants in Qatar can open a storefront and where independent delivery partners can quote for deliveries. qatarsouq provides the software that makes that possible.
We do not sell anything
Every product and service on qatarsouq is sold by the merchant whose store you are looking at. qatarsouq never takes ownership of goods, never holds stock, and never decides what a store sells or what it charges.
We do not handle your money
qatarsouq does not receive, hold, process or settle payments. Cash on Delivery is collected by the merchant or by the delivery partner they appoint, and card payments are handled by the payment provider the merchant has appointed. No customer funds pass through qatarsouq.
Your contract is with the merchant
When you buy something on qatarsouq, your contract is with the merchant, not with qatarsouq. qatarsouq is not a party to that contract. The store's name, contact details, returns policy and delivery terms are shown on the store page — please read them before you order.
What we do and do not check
qatarsouq checks that a merchant has supplied the business registration details required in Qatar, and it reviews listings for obvious breaches of the law and of our rules. It does not inspect, authenticate or endorse the product descriptions, prices, quality, safety or origin of what a merchant lists, and it cannot guarantee that a listing is accurate.
Delivery partners are independent
Delivery partners on qatarsouq are independent businesses. They set their own price and their own time. The contract for delivery is between you and the partner the merchant appoints. qatarsouq introduces the two sides; it does not provide delivery itself.
Prices, availability and errors
Prices, stock levels, offers and delivery times are supplied by the merchant and can change without notice. If a price is listed in error, the merchant is not obliged to supply at that price. Please check the total before you confirm your order.
Something gone wrong
If there is a problem with your order, contact the merchant first — their contact details are on the store page — and they will usually resolve it quickly. If a dispute cannot be settled, qatarsouq can review the order records and assist in reaching a resolution. We will involve ourselves in good faith, but we do not adjudicate the quality of goods or the substance of a commercial dispute.
Prohibited items
Alcohol is prohibited in Qatar for everyone. A number of other goods and services may only be sold by licensed sellers. The full list of what may not be listed on qatarsouq is in the Merchant Agreement.
In short: you are buying from the merchant, not from qatarsouq. We introduce you, we hold the listing, and we keep the order records — but the sale, the goods, the delivery and the money are between you and the merchant.
